Online Program
As we all adapt to this new normal of remote teaching and learning, it is important to maintain a sense of continuity for students. To that end, our children's regular classroom teachers are holding multiple daily online sessions with them, both whole-group and in pairs or 1-on-1.
Although the program content is very similar to the skills worked on in class, the approach is quite different, both in terms of delivery method and feedback. In addition, students' regular textbooks and workbooks are now supplemented by several online tools to help them reinforce their language arts and math skills at home.
Thanks to an amazing community of teachers and parents, we are able to provide as normal a transition for our students as possible. One of the ways in which we do this is through the recorded Storytime videos, the continued group sessions by our school counselor (for students as well as for parents), and the sharing of information and ideas by all. As one of our elementary dads was overheard saying to his son during the first week of confinement, “School isn't a building, it's the teachers and pupils and the community you all create together.” Thank you all for being a part of that community, for contributing to it, and for making it everything that it is.
